Brampton, ON– Restoration and Empowerment for Social Transition Centre (R.E.S.T. Centre) will officially launch its services in Peel region on Friday November 25, 2016 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Ebenezer Hall, 4494 The Gore Road in Brampton. The launch will have guest speakers, team members and a video to outline the services and contributions R.E.S.T. intends to make in the region of Peel. All community members and stakeholders are welcome. Food and refreshments will be served.

R.E.S.T., primarily provides support programs that include affordable housing, mentorship, counseling, education, life skills and employment training opportunities and the operation of social enterprise ventures. We believe that these programs are essential in providing the opportunities that these youths need to succeed.

R.E.S.T.’s Activities and Services:

  • Transitional Housing Program

  • Bridge to Hope

  • Support Services

  • Educational Services

  • Family Reunification

Consider for a moment:

  • If you or a loved one were homeless, would you know where to get information about resources and services that could help?

  • Did you know that 500-700 youth were turned away from shelters last year, due to lack of beds?

  • Would you like to do more to improve the quality of care and quality of life for youth in your community who are homeless?

R.E.S.T. helps youth throughout our community think and talk about the issue of youth homelessness in Peel. We aim to keep this important issue on the forefront of the community’s mind. We strive to live in a community where youth homelessness has been eradicated. Come and join us for our launch to learn more or get involved!
