R.E.S.T’S PANDEMIC RESPONSE
Updated: Oct 28, 2020
R.E.S.T. Centres launches Virtual Support Program for Black Youth experiencing homeless or at risk of homelessness in the region of peel. This program provides youth with the ability to have someone to speak to during the Covid-19 Pandemic. This culturally safe phone line will guide youth in need of housing, food, social interaction, and other issues that may be affecting them. We are aware that the measures in place as a result of the Covid-19 may cause youth to feel further isolated and therefore as proactive approach R.E.S.T. will be launching a private support group where youth will be able to foster peer to peer support as well have access to a number of virtual workshops that and support group forums.
